Larry Sher is a leader in the U.S. actuarial profession, having served as chief actuary at major consulting firms and on the boards of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries. Larry has also served on the Actuarial Standards Board – the body responsible for promulgating the practice standards that guide the work of actuaries practicing in the U.S.

Larry is a fully credentialed actuary and a nationally recognized expert on innovative retirement programs, particularly cash balance plans. He is a widely published author and frequent panelist at professional conferences, and has provided valued input to regulators and members of Congress at private meetings and in written and oral testimony. Larry is often called upon to provide expert testimony in complex ERISA and retirement plan disputes.
