Brian is an established leader in evaluating risk and developing tangible solutions across the healthcare and retirement sectors. Much of his work over the last decade has been on identifying underappreciated risks and developing risk management decision-making frameworks.
Before joining The Terry Group, Brian was a partner at October Three. Previously, Brian was the Chicago retirement practice leader at Aon Hewitt and the New York market leader at J.P. Morgan Compensation and Benefit Strategies. Prior to that, Brian was a Principal at a predecessor firm, CCA Strategies.
Brian is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, having recently led presentations such as Don’t Gamble with Ethics, Talking in Pictures: Effective Strategies for Communicating in the 21st Century, Great Expectations of Inflation, and Public Pension Plan Solvency: Crisis or Myth?.
Brian is an engaged leader both professionally and in civic groups, and is an active volunteer with the following organizations:

- State Finance Task Force of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago (Special Advisor)
- Economic Club of Chicago
- The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (Illinois Chapter)
Brian is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois.
